Our experience with Luxury Bath has been great. We were originally scheduled for the installation in early August, but they called at the end of June and said our materials were in, and how soon would we like to schedule our installation? It's pretty rare that things happen ahead of schedule! So, we scheduled for the second week of July. The crew (Jeremy, Tony and Steve) arrived on time, they were friendly and polite, they consulted with us on a few questions, and cleaned up after themselves as they went along. They hit a snag when they found out the back end of our tub alcove was, literally, a brick wall (formerly an exterior wall before an earlier owner added on to the back of the house). However, they handled it neatly, and stayed a little late to make sure the tub and shower combo would be in usable condition within 24 hours. Jeremy had to come back a couple of days later and finish up a few odds and ends, and did a good job. As to the new tub/shower combination itself, we love it! We chose the Arctic Ice surround and a gray tub. It's very attractive and will be easy to clean. The textured tub floor takes a little getting used to - it's comfortable underfoot, but I'm still not quite used to no longer needing a vinyl mat underfoot. (I'll get over it.) There are a couple of small details we've realized we should have done differently, but that is NOT a complaint about the installers. They did what we asked, but we should have thought one or two details through more carefully. Mainly, my husband realized later that he had the crew install the shower curtain rod a few inches too low - I'll be hemming our new curtain before using it. Again, though, that is not a complaint about the crew. Just a suggestion for other homeowners to plan carefully. AND communicate clearly - there were a couple of potential problems that arose because the crew thought we were leaving the rest of the bathroom as it was. Once I told them we were planning to renovate the rest of the room ourselves, taking out old tile and flooring, that changed what they thought they'd need to do, and the problems were solved. Overall, we're VERY happy with our new tub and shower combo.
